2. NEUROIMAGING 1 (DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, UvA)
Aim
This course will deal with the use of BOLD-MRI in the cognitive neurosciences
Contents
The course deals with: considerations when designing a BOLD-MRI experiment, how is BOLD-MRI data acquired, safety issues, what is measured with the BOLD response and how does this activity relate to neural responses, how is this data analyzed in terms of statistics and registration of data, the analysis of connectivity between brain areas and multi-voxel pattern analysis.
Duration of the course / ECTS About 120 hours (including exam).
Format The course will consist of lectures and labs. Students are expected to be present in all meetings. Grades will be determined on weekly assignments (20%) and a final test (80%).
